Getting to know CECA

The Center for Cognition and Action Studies - CECA - was founded in the late 1990s by prof. Pablo Juan Greco. In its genesis, the laboratory emerged as the first knowledge production center in Brazil specifically aimed at investigating methodological processes in the teaching-training of sports games.
The laboratory also presented itself in the early years as a pioneer in data collection and performance analysis in team sports. The bridge between sports teaching and performance analysis generated the production of several dissertations, theses and tests to evaluate the pedagogical process in sports games.
Currently, the laboratory has the emeritus participation of its founder Pablo Juan Greco, with the general coordination of prof. Gibson Moreira Praça and with the participation of professors Juan Carlos Pérez Morales and Sarah da Glória Teles Bredt.
Studies are developed in different team sports with topics such as: training with small games, performance analysis, motor coordination training, sports teaching models and methods, instrument validation, among other topics.
